Detailed description
This scenic route meanders through the quintessential landscapes of Goričko, set in the pristine wilderness of the Natural Park. Surrounded by meadows and hugged by dense forests, the path also skirts around lush vineyards, marking the starting point of our exploration. Close to the Marof estate, celebrated for its storied past and exquisite wines, our journey takes us forward. We encounter a historical marker in the village of Ženavlje, commemorating the landing site of a balloon in the early 20th century. Tracing the path of the erstwhile Iron Curtain, we climb towards the lookout post in Čepinci. This route prompts reflection on a time when barbed wire barriers obstructed simple acts of friendship, restricting access to neighbors just a stone's throw away.

Podajte se na edinstveno kolesarsko popotovanje po slikoviti pokrajini Goričkega, kjer se bogata zgodovina, kulturna dediščina in mirno podeželje prepletajo v nepozabno doživetje. Pot vas bo peljala skozi avtentične goričke vasi in bujne gozdove, vse do čudovitega posestva Marof, kjer se med valovitimi vinogradi odpirajo čudoviti razgledi. Med kolesarjenjem boste odkrili tudi skrivnostno cerkev sv. Ane, ugnezdeno v mirnem gozdnem zavetju, ter se ustavili pri zgodovinskem obeležju v Ženavljah, ki zaznamuje nepredviden pristanek prvega stratosferskega balona leta 1934.
Raziskovanje se nadaljuje z obiskom nekdanje obmejne karavle v Čepincih ter kolesarjenjem po zgodovinski poti vzdolž nekdanje železne zavese, ki danes namesto meja simbolizira povezovanje in mir. Celotna tura ponuja popolno mešanico neokrnjene narave, odmaknjenih poti ter neznanih zgodb iz preteklosti, ki jih boste najlepše doživeli prav v ritmu pedaliranja.
